Piano Lessons

Overview:
The Group Beginner’s Piano Lessons program is designed for individuals with little to no prior experience playing the piano. This program aims to provide a supportive and interactive learning environment where participants can learn together and develop foundational piano skills. Led by an experienced piano instructor, the lessons will cover basic techniques, music theory, and introductory repertoire.

Schedule:
The program will run from June 16-30, on weekdays only. There will be two groups available for instruction.

Time: 9:00 am to 10:00 am
Maximum number of participants: 15

JHS and SHS:
Time: 10:30 am to 11:30 am
Maximum number of participants: 15

Lesson Structure:
Each lesson will include the following components:

Warm-up Exercises (5 minutes): Start the lesson with finger exercises and stretches to warm up the hands and fingers.

Technique Instruction (10 minutes): Learn proper hand positioning, posture, and finger technique. Practice basic exercises to develop finger strength, coordination, and dexterity.

Music Theory (10 minutes): Introduce fundamental music theory concepts such as note names, rhythms, and basic notation. Learn to read and understand simple sheet music.

Repertoire (30 minutes): Explore beginner-level pieces, focusing on simple melodies and basic chords. Practice playing these pieces individually and as a group, with guidance and feedback from the instructor.

Q&A and Recap (5 minutes): Address any questions or concerns from participants and summarize the key points covered in the lesson.

Cost:
150/per hour or 1500 for the whole session. Each group session will be one hour long.

To enroll in the program, please answer this form and pay at the treasurer’s office. Enrollment will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with limited slots available in each group.

Participants are required to pay 50% upon enrollment and will be billed for the balance.
