On October 4, 2025, students of Colegio de Santa Rita de San Carlos, Inc. (CSR) gathered at Barangay Punao, San Carlos City for the Laudato Si’ Season of Creation Tree Planting Event. The activity coincided with the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of ecology, making the occasion a meaningful celebration of faith and environmental care.

Students from the College of Teacher Education (CTE), College of Computer Studies (CCS), College of Business Administration and Management (CBA), College of Tourism Management (CTM), and the Institute of Caregiving and Midwifery (ICM), along with Junior High School and Senior High School students, joined hands to plant trees that symbolize hope and renewal.

Guided by Mr. Christian Kim Dovibar, the Laudato Si’ Coordinator of San Carlos City, participants were reminded of Pope Francis’ call to “care for our common home.” Mr. Dovibar emphasized that even simple actions—like planting a tree—can make a lasting impact on the environment.

The event not only encouraged environmental responsibility but also strengthened the students’ sense of faith, unity, and stewardship.
