On July 16, 2026, the Basic Education and College Departments of Colegio de Santa Rita de San Carlos, Inc. joined the universal Church in celebrating the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary under one of her most beloved titles. Through separate Eucharistic Celebrations, students, faculty, staff, administrators, and the Ritarian community gathered in prayer and thanksgiving, reaffirming their faith and devotion to Mary, who continually leads her children closer to her Son, Jesus Christ.

Meanwhile, the College Department reflected on the Feast through a Eucharistic Celebration highlighted by the homily of Rev. Fr. Aniceto Rodriguez III, O.CARM, who emphasized that authentic leadership is rooted not in power or status but in humble service. Inspired by the example of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Ritarian community was encouraged to lead with compassion, humility, and grace while carrying Christ's yoke with faith. The Brown Scapular was likewise presented as a symbol of Mary's loving protection and a reminder of every Christian's commitment to follow Christ with fidelity and hope.

The Basic Education Department celebrated the Holy Mass at the San Carlos Borromeo Cathedral, presided over by Rev. Fr. Christian Relota. Reflecting on the Gospel from Matthew 11:28–30, Fr. Relota reminded the faithful that Jesus lovingly invites all who are weary and burdened to find true rest in Him. He emphasized that, like a loving mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary always points her children toward Christ, encouraging everyone to place their trust in Him. During the celebration, the Brown Scapular was distributed as a cherished sign of devotion to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, symbolizing a commitment to live a life of prayer, holiness, and faithful discipleship.

Although celebrated in different gatherings, both departments shared the same spirit of faith, devotion, and unity. The Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel served as a meaningful reminder that Mary continually accompanies the Ritarian community on its journey of faith, inspiring every student and educator to live lives of humility, service, and unwavering trust in God. May Our Lady of Mount Carmel continue to intercede for the entire CSR community, guiding every Ritarian to become faithful disciples of Christ and joyful witnesses of His love.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel, pray for us.
